Heroin Addiction Recovery Team (HART) Program Piloted in Mahwah, NJ

http://www.mahwahalliance.org/ - At three police stations in Bergen County, addicts [are now able] to turn over any drugs they might have and enter a recovery program without facing criminal charges. Under the county's Heroin Addiction Recovery Team, or HART, program, walk-in hours will be offered one day per week at Mahwah, Paramus and Lyndhurst police departments.

Narcan Training for Heroin & Opiate Overdose

The Mahwah Municipal Alliance has partnered with Valley Hospital of Ridgewood, NJ to bring awareness of and training for Naloxone (Narcan) administration to help save lives during Heroin overdose and painkiller overdoses.
