This year is the 17th Annual Junior Police Academy. This program has established a strong foundation over the years as a long term support for police and community relationship building.
Objectives
The annual, two week Junior Police Academy will consist of field trips, lectures, presentations, hands-on activities, and a physical training component.
The objective of the Junior Police Academy is to promote an environment where students learn the basic principles of respect, discipline, team work, motivation, and dedication.These are life lessons that students will take far beyond their days at the Junior Police Academy.
Target Audience
Applicants must reside in Mahwah and have successfully completed 5th grade in a public or parochial school.
